Blood Coven Vampire - Mari Mancusi

The Blood Coven is a book series like no other and I know just by the name and the looks of the cover (no offense Mari) it may seem like one of those tacky replica of just about every vampire book and movie made ever. But I assure you, Mari Mancusi's writing is amazing and really takes a spin on the entire vampire theme. I'm not normally into books about horny teenagers but the witty banter and amusing situations that started us all off on their journey of growing and changing eased us into a well thought out series. ~~ In the first book we met two twins, Sunny and Rayne. Sunny is sweet, girly and such a super good girl. Rayne on the other hand is a bad ass goth female who is deeply into vampires. Long story short Rayne found an application online to become a vampire and blood mate to one, signed up and went through an entire process to make sure she was compatibleto her mate. On the day she was to meet her mate she was instructed to attend a club where he'd find her. During the day of she literally made her sister (Sunny) join her at the club since she didn't want to go alone. Somewhere along the line of them clubbing, Rayne stepped away to seek out her mate and a mysterious, sexy man found Sunny. They danced and headed out the club for some major stranger make out. All was well.....until he bit her! So basically it's an amusing story of mistaken identity, instead of Rayne becoming the blood mate of Magnus it was Sunny and she seriously did not want it. Sunny and Magnus embark on this journey to make Sunny human again and throughout the trip they realize they love each other. ~~ This is just the start of the book, throughout the rest of the series appearances of wolves and fae creatures appear. It's like Marie took all the best YA creatures and mushed them together into one big ball of awesome. I honestly don't want to give so much away at once but you've totally got to read this series for yourself. Five stars from this book reader.
