Alright, I do not particularly enjoy bashing other authors because in truth, art is art. No matter how I feel about the books, Lauren Kate has done something that I have not and that's writing and publishing four successful books. However .. since this is a review I am going to be brutally honest about these books. I did not like it very much, the plot was confusing, the characters were tangled and it took until the final book for me to really understand anything.

Summary:

17-year-old Lucinda falls in love with a gorgeous, intelligent boy, Daniel, at her new school, the grim, foreboding Sword & Cross . . . only to find out that Daniel is a fallen angel, and that they have spent lifetimes finding and losing one another as good & evil forces plot to keep them apart.

I understand where the story was trying to go but there is just so much going on at once and it's really hard to keep track of the story. This will be he shortest review because I don't have a lot to say about it. It was all very messy and the characters were not realistic. The threat and plot made absolutely no sense to me, even after I understood.
